Steve Kahn hails from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, and is licensed to practice law in the State of Alabama, the State of Georgia, and the State of Michigan. Before joining the firm, Steve was a Senior Associate at Ferguson, Frost, Moore & Young, LLP, in Birmingham, Alabama, where he had a primary focus on complex litigation and coverage defense. Prior to that, Steve served as a staff attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit from 2011-2013. He earned his J.D. in May 2010 from University of Alabama School of Law, magna cum laude, which he attended on a full-tuition academic scholarship. While there, Steve served as a senior editor on the Law Review and as a member of the JAG Moot Court Team. In addition, he served as a Career Services Office Representative and President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, while also earning the Lanier, Ford, Shaver & Payne Award in Intellectual Property. Steve has also served as a law clerk for Owens and Millsaps, LLP; a judicial intern for the Honorable Michael Warren of the Oakland County Circuit Court; and as a legal intern in the Domestic Cable Distribution Office at Warner Brothers in Burbank, California. In 2007, Steve graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, double majoring in Political Science and Screen Arts & Culture.
