D. Reid Morelli

Reid Morelli is an insurance coverage and litigation attorney in Atlanta. He provides coverage advice to domestic and international insurers and defends insurers and insureds in litigation. Reid’s practice focuses on commercial general liability, commercial litigation, premises liability, professional liability, bad faith, and insurance defense. Reid routinely drafts coverage opinions for large insurance companies in first-party and third-party property matters. Reid also advises clients in intellectual property litigation and management of IP portfolios.

Before joining Fields Howell in 2020, Reid worked on complex business litigation matters and insurance coverage disputes at a large law firm. In addition to his insurance coverage practice, Reid has extensive experience in intellectual property matters for clients in the entertainment industry, non-profits, start-ups, and more.

Reid graduated order of the coif from The Emory University School of Law in the top 10% of his class. While in law school, he gained legal experience serving as a legal extern for The Coca-Cola Company and The Atlanta Hawks. Before attending law school, he earned his undergraduate degree from Furman University where he was also a member of the men’s varsity tennis team. Outside of the office, Reid is an avid Atlanta sports fan and enjoys traveling, playing golf, and long-distance running.
