Wolak to Present on Ransomware Coverage Issues
Jennifer W. Wolak
The frequency and magnitude of ransomware attacks are on the rise, with associated insurance coverage questions becoming more complex. Fields Howell partner Jennifer W. Wolak will be addressing these complexities at the upcoming 2021 Virtual Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee CLE Seminar hosted by the American Bar Association.
Jen will be teaming up with other experts in the field, including Scott N. Godes, Joni F. Mason, and Christopher “Todd” Doss, to discuss various elements of loss, coverages which might apply, and hot button topics for policyholders & carriers. Their breakout session titled Coverage for Ransomware: The Sky Really is Falling will be held on March 5th.
While this is the first time Jen will be presenting at an ABA seminar, she has a history of speaking on emerging cyber insurance issues. In 2019, Jen was a panel member for the session “Legal Updates on Cyber Risks” at the Insuralex U.S. Seminar on Cutting Edge Issues. She also presented to clients in 2018 on cybersecurity risks for law firms. A year prior, she covered the topic of cyber liability at the State Bar of Georgia’s Solo and Small Firm Institute.
