Insurance Coverage Attorney – Associate (NASHVILLE)
About the job:
Fields Howell seeks a mid-level attorney to help grow the firm’s Nashville office. Associates with Fields Howell are expected to work with multiple Partners on a variety of first-party property and third party liability matters. In addition to conducting legal research and reporting to clients on coverage issues, associates are expected to be skilled litigators in order to defend insurers and their insureds when litigation arises.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3-7 years of experience as an attorney in a private law firm or clerkship
- Litigation experience; insurance coverage or defense experience preferred
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Superb interpersonal skills
- Exceptional academics – top 33% of law class preferred. Please include class rank if fewer than five years of experience.

Insurance Coverage Attorney – Professional Liability (ATLANTA)
Fields Howell is seeking an experienced insurance coverage attorney to join its Professional Liability Team. The ideal candidate will have 4 – 6 years of experience in an insurance coverage role with an interest in serving as coverage and monitoring counsel for domestic and international insurers. Experience working in professional liability (legal/accounting/architect/medical malpractice) is a plus.

Director of Human Resources – ATLANTA or MIAMI
Fields Howell is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources professional to lead HR initiatives across its 4 offices. This position is an on-site position, and the professional can be located in either our Atlanta or Miami office.
The Job:
- Administer various HR programs and processes, including but not limited to employee onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, and employee relations.
- Assist with the recruitment and selection process by sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and coordinating the hiring process.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints or concerns and recommend appropriate actions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Proven experience in HR at a professional services firm (law firm experience a plus).
- Strong knowledge of employment labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
