
Armando Rubio is the Partner in charge of Fields Howell’s Miami office. With over twenty years of experience as a litigation and trial attorney, his areas of expertise include personal injury defense, insurance coverage and bad faith, reinsurance, construction defects, first party property claims, admiralty and maritime defense, and product liability defense.
He has handled numerous cases through verdict and judgment, binding arbitrations, and appeals at both the State and Federal levels, ranging from catastrophic injury and death cases to multi-million dollar coverage disputes. In addition to litigating cases, Armando is experienced in guiding claims to resolution in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Armando is actively involved in litigation and claims throughout Florida and other states and territories, including Puerto Rico, and regularly handles and oversees claims and litigation throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. His wide array of clients ranges from members of the London insurance market and their individual assureds to international product manufacturers and distributors, such as Honda.
Armando is admitted to practice before the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and all federal, state, and bankruptcy courts within the State of Florida.
He has been identified among his peers as a “Top Lawyer” by the South Florida Legal Guide, counted among the “Legal Elite” by Florida Trend Magazine, and named to the Florida Super Lawyers Rising Stars list.
Armando received his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2000. He previously served as a law clerk for the Honorable Mario Goderich, Third District Court of Appeal, and, before attending law school, worked as an insurance adjuster.
