Stephanie Armas is an insurance defense lawyer in Miami. Her practice focuses on representing insurers and their insureds in premises liability, construction defect, and first-party property matters.

Prior to joining Fields Howell, Stephanie worked as an associate litigation attorney for a Florida law firm that services domestic and international insurance carriers. Throughout her career, Stephanie has investigated claims, drafted pleadings and motions, taken and defended examinations under oath and depositions, and conducted settlement negotiations and mediations. Before entering private practice, she served as an intern for the City Attorney’s Office in Miami Gardens, Florida, and worked in various legal administrative positions.

Stephanie holds a bachelor of arts in Psychology from Florida International University and graduated in 2020 with her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law, where she received the Pro Bono Commendation for her dedication to volunteer service in the legal community

Stephanie was a Volunteer Guardian Ad Litem for over five years, and after becoming an attorney, she transitioned into volunteering with the FAWL in Love with Gal Program where she mentors older youths in the foster care system.
