Thomas C. Blackwell

Thomas Blackwell is an insurance coverage and defense attorney in Atlanta. His practice focuses on commercial general liability and property matters. 

Thomas joined the firm in 2025 as a summer associate and then returned full-time following his 2026 graduation from the University of Alabama School of Law. Before joining Fields Howell, Thomas gained experience as a legal extern for the Honorable Madeline Haikala of the Northern District of Alabama. In law school, Thomas was a Dean's Scholar, a Senior Editor for the Alabama Law Review, and an intern with the law school's appellate advocacy clinic. Thomas was also an advocate on the Jessup International Law Moot Court Team, which advanced to the international rounds. 

Before attending law school, Thomas graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama, where he double majored in economics and international studies with a minor in Mandarin Chinese. During that time, he competed as a member of the Model United Nations Travel Team.
