Megan A. Palmer

Associate – Atlanta

Megan Palmer’s practice focuses on complex insurance defense, including commercial liability and litigation. Megan has advised and defended attorneys, accountants, and other professionals in regards to professional liability and commercial general litigation policies.

Prior to joining Fields Howell, Megan was a commercial litigation associate in the Atlanta office of a mid-sized regional law firm. She served in this capacity for four years, gaining experience drafting amicus briefs, appellate briefs, and briefs in support of motions for summary judgment and motions to dismiss.

Megan’s legal career began years before she joined private practice. After completing her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in 2010, Megan interned with the United States Attorney’s Office in the Economic Crimes Division. She also spent time as a judicial extern for Judge Stephens at the Superior Court for the Western Judicial Circuit in Athens, Georgia, and as a law clerk for Judge Craig and Judge Padgett at the Superior Court for the Augusta Judicial Circuit.

Megan earned her Juris Doctor cum laude in 2014 from the University of Georgia School of Law.
