Dale Clarke’s practice encompasses a broad range of complex litigation, including maritime, wrongful death, products liability, and insurance coverage claims. Dale has a proven track record of success on numerous cases proceeding to trial in Florida state and federal court as well as arbitration in the International Center for Dispute Resolution. In addition, Dale assists clients in negotiations, structuring business agreements, and representation in commercial disputes. Prior to his experience with Fields Howell, Dale served as a judicial intern for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Southern District of Florida. Dale graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami Law School in 2011 where he received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award before entering private practice.

  • Farley v. Oceania Cruises, Inc., No. 13-20244-CIV, 2015 WL 1131015 (S.D. Fla. Mar. 12, 2015) – Successfully struck plaintiff’s liability expert, which led to an immediate resolution of the claim
  • De La Flor v. Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co., 556 F. App’x 938 (11th Cir. 2014)- Dismissal of multi-million dollar negligence claim, with prejudice
  • Weingart v. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., No.:1:11-cv-24346-RSR (S.D. Fla. 2013) – Partial summary judgment
  • Summary judgment in state court personal injury claim
  • Represented a dual capacity employer/shipowner in a multi-million dollar wrongful death claim under Section 905(b) of the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA) and obtained a favorable outcome that amounted to a fraction of the economic damages alone
  • Successfully defended common carrier in cargo claims under the Carriage of Goods by Sea Act (COGSA)
  • Represented and prepared complex agreements for an innovative company in the maritime and medical industries
