Ambria Lankford’s practice consists of providing insurance coverage advice to both domestic and international insurers regarding a variety of claims, including life, health, disability, commercial property, and commercial general liability claims.  Ambria also represents insurers in coverage litigation, including the pursuit of declaratory judgment actions and defense of actions against insurers in both first and third party claims.

Prior to joining Fields Howell, Ambria litigated cases in federal and state courts across the country.  Her experience includes representing insurance companies in assorted life, health, disability and ERISA matters.  Ambria’s complex litigation experience also includes class actions, product liability, and commercial litigation.

Ambria earned her J.D. in May 2012 from the University of Alabama School of Law, cum laude, with a certificate in public interest law.  While there, Ambria obtained an academic scholarship and received both the ACLU Oral Advocate Award and the Defense Lawyers Association Award.  Ambria also served as a senior editor of the Law and Psychology Review and a member of the Frederick Douglas Moot Court Team.   After law school, Ambria clerked for the Honorable Abdul K. Kallon in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.

Ambria is admitted to practice law in Alabama and is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama.  Ambria is a member of the American Bar Association Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section.
